3rd Person Mode in Modern Warfare 2?

Someone seems to of gotten a copy of Modern Warfare 2 early for PS3 and they have been live streaming it to the public. Something interesting in this video is that its played completely in third person and looks like it is not spectator or anything of the sorts. Could this be the big secret Infinity Ward has been talking about?

It seems it is true according to a screenshot someone took of the game modes screen, hit the break to see the picture and a list of game modes. It is in another language but the users on the Infinity Ward forums were quick to translate it.

Halo WayPoint Details

This video walks you through some of the destination's functionality, notably the "career system" which will track "in-game accomplishments across multiple Halo games." Unsurprisingly, that career will be limited to the Xbox 360-released Halo games: Halo 3, Halo Wars, Halo 3: ODST, and "all Game Add-on content for those titles."

Halo Waypoint is being developed collaboratively by Microsoft's internal Halo studio, 343 Industries, and Certain Affinity. Waypoint will be available November 5 for both Xbox Live Gold and Silver members.

Mass Effect 2 Release Date

Electronic Arts has announced the release date for Mass Effect 2, the anticipated sequel from developer BioWare.

The game is scheduled to launch on January 26, 2010 in North America and January 29 in Europe.

A slew of pre-order bonus items have also been revealed. Pre-ordering Mass Effect 2 at GameStop gives players access to two special items. The Terminus Armor, which increases run speed and personal shields, and the M-490 Blackstorm Heavy Weapon, a high-powered gravity gun.

Pre-ordering the game at other retailers gives players The Inferno Armor, which recognizes elevated heart rates and gives a negotiation bonus for Commander Shepard, along with an increase in run speed and augmented damage from combat powers.

NBA Live 10 Review

Welcome back to another edition of Reviewing with Blazen. In this edition, I am going to be reviewing NBA live 10, the newest game for the NBA live series made by EA sports.

Originally, the NBA Live series was released for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and SNES with NBA Live 95. The naming was changed from utilizing the last two digits of the year to the entire year number from 2000-2005, but returned to the original naming convention with NBA Live 06.The Create-A-Player feature was not available in the 1995 versions of the game, but have been a mainstay since NBA Live 96. NBA Live 98 in 1997 was the last NBA Live game for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and the SNES. NBA Live 98 also was the first NBA Live series game to support 3Dfx graphic cards. Only first generation Voodoo and Voodoo Rush cards were officially supported. Starting from NBA Live 2000, the series featured NBA Live Legend All-Stars Teams, which included some biggest names from five decades (50s to 90s). These teams could be used instantly, but to use the players as regular players (e.g. traded, played on regular NBA Teams) they needed to be unlocked. Along the series, some of the rosters were changed due to many reasons.NBA Live 2005 brought the addition of the Slam Dunk Contest, and Rookie Challenge. NBA live was released October 6TH, 2009.


In NBA Live 10, audiences are given a bigger role to create more lifelike atmospheres, while teams are given their individual playing style with faster running animations that take into account player size. Passing and shooting has also been improved by adding new controls and features. A new training facility called "The Hangar" will be included as well. There have been many improvements to the details of the players including their tattoos, hair, shoes, uniforms, signature shots, and moves. It has also been revealed that Dynamic DNA, introduced in NBA Live 09, has been improved. The presentation is so cool how they have Lebron James' powder, and Howards pre-game jumping and shooting.


New to online is you can play up to 10 players on 5 player teams. This is a cool feature you can just play. The bad part about it is that it lags when you get that many people. The regular online when you are playing someone is just like NBA live 09 people know how to cheat and they just play with one play they don’t know how to spread the ball around. When playing in regular season, this gives you a challenge the computer is a lot smarter. Thought there are some things that still need to be fixed. Such as the computer can still drive on you in the hole but when you try to do it, you get striped. The rebounding can be awkward sometimes, where you are right in front of the ball but you don’t get it. Also when you get to the playoffs, the game changes. The AI gets harder and the fans are more into it so for this game.

I am going to give a solid

Halo 3: ODST Review

Welcome back to this edition to the Reviewing with Blazen. In this episode, I will be talk to you about halo 3 ODST. Wes I know it has been a while since the game has come out but I want to give my review where I have played everything.

Halo 3: ODST was released 2 years after Halo 3 on 09/22/2009 created by Bungie. Halo 3: ODST is a shooter video game with game play taking place from a first-person perspective. Although the game play of ODST bears a strong resemblance to previous Halo titles, the player does not assume the role of the enhanced human super soldier Master Chief. Instead, the player controls a lone UNSC soldier, known as the Rookie.

In ODST that comes with two discs. The first disc is the ODST game and the second disc is the complete Halo 3 multiplayer experience with all the maps so you don’t have to buy all the maps extra kind of cool. It includes 21 Halo 3 maps and 3 exclusive maps from this edition of the multiplayer. The new features that come with ODST is a brand new campaign and a new multiplayer mode called firefight. Firefight is just like horde on Gears of War 2. The campaign is a little short only 8 missions so it can go by fast but it should take around 8 hours to get through. The graphics for the game are just the same a halo 3 2 years ago so there is not much to look forward to. There is a slight graphic upgrades and enhancements but overall, the graphics are similar to Halo 3. For the campaign, I played single player and also I played co-op. I think for ODST you would want to play this game in co-op it’s a lot more fun.

ODST also contains a new cooperative game mode called Firefight. In this game mode, players take on increasingly difficult waves of varied enemies and see how long they can last. Firefight includes new medals as well as the ability to play co-cooperatively with up to three other players over Xbox LIVE or System Link. The team has a team pool of lives, which is added to after set rounds, and the game ends upon their depletion and all players’ deaths. Skulls have been incorporated into Firefight as a means to increase the difficulty and provide variation. Some of the maps used in Firefight are unlocked as the player progresses through the single-player campaign, and there are a total of ten, of which three are unlockable. It is also noted that the enemy characters appearing in each wave are randomly generated; meaning players are unable to anticipate the strength of the next wave prior to its arrival. As you progress inside Firefight, you will get more and more characters to unlock. Players are awarded medals for making special kills, and individual and team scores are tracked throughout the games. Firefight also incorporates the Halo 3: ODST score, adding music that reflects the general mood of a map. Inside Firefight, the player have a shared pool of 7 lives, which are replenished after completing special bonus rounds.

I have the privilege to say that the people at xboxlivenetwork.com have all most beat it. So after reading this review I am going to give this game a solid

I would recommend that you buy this game if you don't have halo 3 either because you get both Halo 3 and Halo3: ODST. Tune in next time for I will be reviewing NBA live 10!

Forza 3 Review

Forza Motorsport 3 is an exemplary racing game. It's beautiful, the controls are spot-on, the career mode is satisfying, and the multiplayer component is awesome. But there's still room to grow. The visuals could be even better, the career mode sags at times, and there needs to be at least one more option for AI difficulty. Even with those concerns, Forza 3 is a big step forward for sim racing games. Turn 10 has thrown down the gauntlet and it will be a real challenge for Polyphony Digital to deliver a superior racer with Gran Turismo 5. After all, this is the best racing game of this generation. Good luck topping it.

Forza Motorsport 3 may display graphics so beautiful it makes your eyes bleed. It may be so scalable from accessible to hardcore that everyone from your grandma to Michael Schumacher could enjoy it. It may have super-slick presentation values and an unparalleled love for all things car-related, but it somehow falls short of feeling like a classic. It’s exactly the sum of its parts, which is not something to slam when you think how great the parts are. Everything about this game is great, no doubt, from the leveling system to the ability to buy user-created vinyls, to the quick upgrade system. And despite a few flaws, Forza Motorsport 3 is still jam-packed with awesomeness.

Should be adjustable to anyone’s skill level. Anyone.

Damn near perfect if it wasn’t for those lousy visual damage models.

The music is listenable, but the sound effects are sublime.

What will you spend more time on: racing, tuning or painting?

It may seem like the same game, but its broad accessibility makes it more than that.

NBA Live 10 Review

NBA Live 10, while it certainly has issues that people are going to gripe about, is exactly what the series needed to fire up its dwindling fan base and add new players alike. The gameplay is nicely refined and emulates real basketball with much greater success than past games. I expect NBA Live 11 to really step up and deliver more than this year’s game did in terms of modes. Couple some sort of career mode with the smooth gameplay and the next entry in the Live series could steal the crown away from 2K Sports.

8.5	Presentation A great job of delivering a TV broadcast that ebbs and flows with the game. The plethora of uniforms and shoes pushes NBA culture nicely.
8.5	Graphics Players look great and colors jump right off the screen. Can’t help but think that the athletes look a little plastic-y. Framerate is smooth throughout.
7.5	Sound Announcers are redundant which is an annoyance but the roars of the crowd and arena-specific touches are very cool.
8.0	Gameplay The new emphasis on defense is wonderful and the passing mechanics help diversify the gameplay. Live isn’t great yet, but it’s making solid progress.
8.0	Lasting Appeal The feature set could be a little meatier, but dynamic season and Live Run will keep players coming back for some time, especially if they enjoy the notion of Dynamic DNA.
